April birding hike
It was a very windy morning at the Nature Center and adjoining parks as the group saw seven fewer bird species than our October visit. An overnight cold front brought the winds and cooler temperatures the first Saturday in April. Colton Robbins lead the hour-and-a-half walk along the San Marcos River with several first-timers joining the group. -LJ
