River Recharge Natural Area: A Kiosk at Last!

It’s been two years in the making, but the kiosk at River Recharge Natural Area is finally a reality. Definitely a group effort, the kiosk was designed by Jon Cradit and constructed by the Trail Crew, with the centerpiece being a weatherproof sign created by Texas State University alumnus Ian Long. Also contributing to the sign were Norman Bean, who did the striking illustration of the recharge process, and an advisory committee made up of Norman Bean, Jon Cradit, Todd Derkacz, Susan Hanson, Scott Henize, Greg Moore, and Diane Phelan. Two important new members of the group that created the kiosk were City of San Marcos Trail Crew employees Chris Buchanan and Payden Price, who cut and installed the rock caps on the columns.
