Volunteering: It’s What We Do
0 Comment
Despite limitations imposed by the pandemic, roughly 45 SMGA volunteers have contributed several thousand hours of their time. Vice President Diane Phalen keeps an accounting of these hours, which is submitted to the City of San Marcos at the end of each year. As this table indicates, volunteering with SMGA includes much more than trail work, although that is what most people see. Volunteers are also needed to lead hikes, maintain the web site, write and distribute the newsletter, gather seeds, create videos, and much more.
