At the June Bird Walk at the San Marcos City Cemetery, a neighbor, Jesse Gainer, walked by and asked about the event. He explained that he had written a grant to equip children with binoculars, and asked if SMGA wanted the ones that were not used.
Monique gladly accepted 10 brand news pairs of binoculars and 4 bird books on SMGA’s behalf. The plan is to have these available during future bird walks to anyone who might need them.
